- I'm a children's author residing in central Ohio. I write children's picture books, nonfiction books, and middle grade novels. I also write nonfiction for magazines, as well as teacher's guides (lesson plans) for other people's books. I frequently visit schools where I discuss reading, writing, publishing and creativity. My first book is The Pig and Miss Prudence, from Star Bright Books, and my second is Beco's Big Year: A Baby Elephant Turns One, from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
